The work of Dr. Márlon J. R. Aliberti, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Claudia Kimie Suemoto, was recognized at the 2023 USP Postdoctoral Researchers Congress. The awarded study, developed at the University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP), led to the creation of the CHANGE Study — an international network of 43 centers across Brazil and four other countries, dedicated to improving hospital care for older adults.

With support from the Alzheimer’s Association, the project investigates undiagnosed dementia in hospitals and has already trained over 250 healthcare professionals. The initiative was also honored at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health for research excellence and as the best international public health practice (2024–2025).
