On June 4 and 5, the University of São Paulo Medical School (FMUSP) hosted the Brazil–UK Meeting on Healthy Aging and Inequalities, an international initiative aimed at scientific knowledge exchange and strengthening bilateral collaborations in the field of aging.
Dr. Claudia Suemoto is an official member of the Brazil–UK initiative and was among the FMUSP representatives who led discussions during the meeting.
The event featured researchers from Brazil, including Dr. Laiss Bertola and Dr. Márlon Aliberti, members of SuemotoLab, as well as researchers from the United Kingdom, represented by Dr. Matthew Prina, Dr. Yu-Tzu Wu, and Dr. Andrew Kingston from Newcastle University.
Additionally, the meeting served as the launch platform for the documentary “Aging: A Personal Journey" a product of the Brazil–UK collaboration, directed by Gabriel Martinez and produced by Lilian Liang, Marcel Hiratsuka (Geriatrics HC-FMUSP), and Claudia Suemoto (Geriatrics FMUSP).
